Apache Tears for Tumbling

 Over the years we have obtained these volcanic, glass nodules that were formed as a result of cooling in the air after a volcanic eruption at the Mule Creek locality, which is probably the largest obsidian source in the Southwest. There was more to this collection than we will ever get around to working with in a lifetime!
Mule Creek Apache Tears...
These assorted parcels of Apache Tears (obsidian - a glasslike volcanic lava) are small rounded nodules - opaque or translucent black in color; some may even be of the sheen or mahogany varieties, and come with tumbling instructions. Excellent tumbling material however please note: Apache Tears are not for the novice as they can be difficult to polish. Sizes range 1" and smaller for approximately 60 pieces per pound. Sold as 3 pound bags. Status: Temporairly Sold Out.
